Twisualizer

Music Visualizer for iTunes and Twitter

About Twisualizer

Twisualizer is a plug-in for iTunes© on OS X Lion that not only creates fantastic 3D visuals in response to the music you are playing, but also displays the Tweets from your Twitter© account.

Installation is simple, just follow the instructions on the installer. All you then need to do is enter the name of your Twitter account and that's it. Or of you want, don't use Twitter and just enjoy the visuals.

You can also customise the visualizer to display a background caustic ripple sequence (like the pattern of light in a swimming pool) or a background blurring effect to the 3D graphics.

There are five main visualizations, all in 3D and all reacting instantly to the music. Colours change constantly and visualizations are random, so sequences are never repeated during the playback of music.

Settings

There are a few settings you can change for Twisualizer. First you can get Tweets direct into the visualization by entering your Twitter account name and password and clicking on the Connect To Twitter check box so that it is selected.

You can also change the rate at which Tweets are loaded from Twitter. The highest speed is about once every minute. Twisualizer will get up to 30 Tweets at a time. This is to limit loading on the Twitter platform.

There are some display options as well. You can turn on or off a background caustic effect and also a blurring effect on the 3D visuals. You may want to do this if you don't have a fast Mac. If you do have a good graphics card, then turn them on and try changing the blur size and repeat.
